How Carspot works
Carspot turns car spotting into a collection game. The player photographs a car seen in the street, at a car meet or in their camera roll. Carspot's AI identifies the make, the model and the version, then shows the car's specifications.
Every model in Carspot has a rarity score from 0 to 100, set model by model from real data: production volume (30 points), price (25), age (20), horsepower (15) and brand prestige (10). Six tiers follow from it: common, uncommon, rare, very rare, mythic and legendary. The rarer the car, the more points the spot earns.
Spots fill a garage sorted by brand and model, unlock badges, count towards daily, weekly and monthly quests, and rank players on weekly, monthly and yearly leaderboards. Licence plates are blurred automatically before a spot is saved or published.
